CENTER FOR CONFLICT AND COOPERATION
The Center for Conflict and Cooperation is a multi-disciplinary research center dedicated to studying the causes, consequences, and solutions to handling the current global rise of intergroup conflict. We aim to identify principles of intergroup relations, using a variety of research methods from psychology, political science, sociology, communications, and organization.
OUR RESEARCH
GLOBAL SOCIAL MEDIA STUDY
The Global Social Media study (led by Dr. Steven Rathje, Nejla Asimovic, Claire Robertson, Dr. Joshua Tucker & Dr. Jay Van Bavel) is a large, international research collaboration focused on testing the causal effect of social media on polarization, well-being, and intergroup attitudes around the world. In this global field experiment, we invite participants to temporarily deactivate their social media accounts, and examine the impact on a number of related outcomes.
